Hirsch’s story goes back to 1945 in Klagenfurt, Austria, when Hans Hirsch started making watch straps at home and building on a family background in leatherwork. A mix of craft and engineering became the company’s trademark, leading to milestones like the 1955 Rembordé edge-sealing technique (now an industry standard) and, later, its award-winning Performance collection that paired modern rubber construction with traditional leather styling.
Today the range spans genuine and embossed leather, nylon, rubber, sailcloth and vegan leather straps, along with stainless steel deployant clasps, all designed with a practical, everyday mindset. For example, models like the Crocograin show how Hirsch handles classic leather with clean shaping and easy installation thanks to quick-release spring bars.
