Sizing & Fit
Measure the inside distance between your watch lugs in millimeters. The strap width should match that measurement exactly. See our Strap Width Guide for step-by-step instructions.
Check the Fits wrists measurement on the product page for the specific strap you are considering. Exact fit varies by brand and model, even when two straps are both labeled Short, Regular or Long. See our Strap Length Guide for more help.
Wrist-fit ranges vary considerably by strap. Check the Fits wrists measurement on each product page and compare the numeric strap dimensions to a strap you already own that fits well. You can also contact us for help selecting a length.
They can. Strap thickness at the lug end, spring-bar position, lug clearance and case geometry can all affect physical fit. See our Will This Strap or Bracelet Fit My Watch? guide for details.
Compatibility & Hardware
Many of our straps are available in shorter lengths that work well for smaller wrists. Browse our Short watch straps and check the Fits wrists measurement on each product page for exact sizing.
In most cases, start by confirming the lug width and attachment method. Watches with limited lug clearance, integrated cases, proprietary attachments or model-specific bracelet end links may require additional checks.
See our Will This Strap or Bracelet Fit My Watch? guide for more information.
We can help with physical fit and compatibility. Appearance and style are personal preferences, so we do not make styling recommendations for watches that are not covered in our Shop by Watch Model guides.
Some are, but watches with unusual case geometry or proprietary attachment systems may require straps made for that specific watch. See our compatibility guide for what to check.
Yes. For straps that do not already have integrated quick-release spring bars, we include one free pair of seamless double-flange stainless steel spring bars.
Often, yes. The hardware must match the strap's buckle-end width, and some deployant clasps also require a compatible strap thickness. See our Strap Taper Guide and check the product specifications before ordering.
Our Apple Watch strap adapters allow compatible 22mm watch straps to be used with Apple Watch. Because some strap designs can obstruct the sensors on the back of the watch, not every 22mm strap is suitable.
See our Apple Watch Strap Adapter & Sizing Guide for adapter sizing and compatibility, or browse Apple Watch-compatible straps.
Materials & Wear
Most conventional leather straps are not intended for repeated soaking or swimming. Some leather and hybrid constructions offer greater moisture resistance, but water suitability varies by model. See our Leather Watch Strap Guide or Rubber Watch Strap Guide for more information.
It depends on the material and construction. Leather often softens and may develop patina, while textile and rubber straps behave differently depending on the weave, compound and design. See our Watch Strap Materials Guide for a comparison.
Natural leather can have a noticeable scent when new. This usually becomes less noticeable with time and normal wear. Returned straps must be free of absorbed odors such as fragrance, smoke or other household or environmental scents.
See our Returns & Exchanges policy for details.
Materials vary by product. Many straps use stainless steel hardware, rubber or synthetic textiles, while others use leather or other natural materials. If you have a known allergy or sensitivity, review the material information on the product page and contact us if you need help confirming a specific product.
