Fine rectangular scales and a hand-buffed glossy finish give this genuine lizard strap a tailored look. It suits slimmer dress watches, vintage gold cases and watches with mid-century styling.

Material & feel

This strap is crafted from genuine lizard leather with dense scales that create a fine, structured grain across the surface. The leather is buffed by hand to produce a brilliant shine that highlights the natural scale pattern. The profile remains slim, keeping the strap aligned with traditional dress watch proportions.

The underside is lined with Hirsch Velvet Glove leather, which is hypoallergenic and designed for soft contact against the skin. The strap is fitted with a Hirsch-branded polished stainless steel buckle.

Can get wet, handles regular water exposure but will absorb moisture. Allow it to dry fully after use.

Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If needed, rinse briefly under lukewarm water and allow to air dry fully. Avoid prolonged soaking, cleaners or conditioners.

After 10 years I found one of my grail watches, a 14K solid gold 1959 Omega Constellation automatic in spectacular condition. It came on an adequate strap with a generic buckle and I knew that it needed a strap that was worthy of the watch. I had sourced a period correct signed gold Omega tang buckle. when this gorgeous Hirsch Lizard strap arrived I couldn't wait to install the vintage buckle and get the strap on the Constellation. It's stunning and I love the way it looks and fits on the watch. I'm so happy with this strap!

Probably not terribly durable - already flaking

Using this on a Cartier Tank Louis. Love the classic and understated look, but I fear this strap won’t last too long. Already I’m noticing that it’s flaking around where the strap bends at the pin buckle. Maybe it will improve as the strap breaks in and softens, but I’m concerned it will look bad by that point.

High quality black Lizard strap for my 1960’s Connie!

The quality of the strap is superior, with great texture on the lizard leather. Feels sturdy and substantial without adding heft or weight to the watch combination. Also, a great match for a vintage piece. Would definitely get straps from this vendor again. Very happy!!
