French nappa sheepskin gives the Merino an unusually soft, supple feel, with a fine grain and a surface that looks silky under light. The moderate padding and delicate backstitched seams keep the profile classic and fairly slim, without the sharper structure of heavier dress straps. Smaller dress watches, vintage pieces and simple mid-century case designs suit it well.

Material & feel

The strap is crafted from French Nappa sheepskin, a supple leather known for its exceptionally soft hand. The material flexes easily from the start and conforms to the wrist without a break-in period. Its fine grain creates a smooth, uniform surface that remains comfortable during extended wear.

The underside is lined with Hirsch OysterGlove Supersoft leather, which is hypoallergenic and gentle against the skin. The strap is fitted with a Hirsch-branded polished stainless steel buckle.

Wear & care

Can get wet, handles regular water exposure but will absorb moisture. Allow it to dry fully after use.

Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If needed, rinse briefly under lukewarm water and allow to air dry fully. Avoid prolonged soaking, cleaners or conditioners.
