Find My Strap Length
Strap length affects how your watch fits, where the buckle sits, and how much strap tail shows. Strap length does not affect whether a strap fits your watch, only how it wears on your wrist. Use this guide to choose a length that matches your wrist size and wearing preference.

How strap length is measured
Most two-piece watch straps are measured as two numbers, written as long end plus short end. For example, 115/75 mm means a 115 mm long piece and a 75 mm short piece (not including the buckle).
For convenience, we group strap lengths into Short, Regular, and Long. Each product page lists the exact numeric length, and the guidelines below show how these labels relate to wrist size.
Measure your wrist
Your wrist measurement determines which strap length will fit most comfortably. Use a flexible tape measure or a strip of paper and a ruler.
- Wrap the tape or paper around your wrist where the watch sits.
- Mark where the ends meet. The fit should be secure but not tight.
- Read the measurement in inches or millimeters.
Length guidelines by wrist size
Select a length based on your wrist circumference. Numeric strap lengths below are common examples. Exact dimensions vary by brand and are listed on each product page.
| Wrist size | Approx wrist circumference (mm) | Recommended length | Common strap lengths |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5.75 to 6.5 in | 146 to 165 mm | Short | 105/70 mm, 110/70 mm |
| 6.25 to 7.25 in | 159 to 184 mm | Regular | 115/75 mm, 120/80 mm |
| 7.0 to 8.0 in | 178 to 203 mm | Long | 125/80 mm, 130/85 mm |
If your wrist sits near the overlap between categories, choose based on preference. A shorter strap reduces tail and positions the buckle more tightly. A longer strap provides more room and a longer tail.

Common questions
What if I am between two length ranges?
If your wrist falls within two categories, choose the length that matches your comfort preference. Less tail and a more centered buckle = shorter strap. More room and more tail = longer strap.
How much strap tail is ideal?
Most wearers prefer the tail to pass through the first keeper and rest near the second. If the tail extends far past the second keeper, the strap is likely too long. If it barely reaches the first keeper, it may be too short.
Do deployant clasps affect strap length?
Yes. Deployant clasps replace some functional strap length. Many wearers prefer a slightly shorter strap when using a deployant.
What about very small or very large wrists?
If your wrist is smaller than 5.75 in or larger than 8.0 in, compare the numeric strap lengths on product pages to a strap you already own that fits well. You can also contact us for help selecting a length.
