How to Use and Adjust Your Forstner Komfit Watch Bracelet

Originally worn by NASA astronauts, the Forstner Komfit stainless steel watch bracelet (also known as the JB Komfit) is one of the most comfortable and distinctive mesh bracelets available. Though its mechanism may seem unfamiliar at first, it’s simple to use once you understand the adjustable buckle and clasp system. The Komfit bracelet attaches to your watch case just like most other metal bracelets. Insert the spring bar through the end piece and compress the bar to fit between the lugs. The JB variations—gold-plated or wide end options—attach in the same way:

Adjusting Bracelet Length and Fit

The Forstner Komfit bracelet is renowned for its micro-adjustable comfort. A small movable buckle slides along the mesh to set your preferred fit. To adjust it, lift the small “lip” that secures the buckle to the mesh, slide it to tighten or loosen the bracelet, then press the lip back down to lock it in place. This mechanism works on all Komfit JB variations, whether you have the Gold-Plated, Wide Horned Ends, or Wide Straight Ends model:

Using the Clasp

The clasp is the square polished section featuring a small internal tab. It connects securely to the movable buckle. To fasten it, align the teeth on the underside of the clasp with the straight bar on the buckle and press down at a slight downward angle. To release, simply press the small tab. All JB variants use the same clasp mechanism, providing consistent reliability:

Putting On the Bracelet

To put on your Komfit bracelet, pull back on the clasp end to tighten the bracelet to your wrist. Hold the tightened section in place while wrapping the clasp end around and securing it to the buckle.
