The Forstner Thin as a Dime Komfit revives one of the earliest bracelets to feature the patented slide-band technology that would become the Komfit. Inspired by Forstner's Military Type design of the late 1930s, it combines exceptional flexibility, continuous adjustability, and distinctive Art Deco styling in a bracelet that's as elegant today as it was nearly a century ago.

Material & feel

The Thin as a Dime Komfit is distinguished by its horizontal slat design, giving the bracelet a refined Art Deco appearance that pairs equally well with vintage-inspired and contemporary watches. Available in brushed or polished finishes, it offers a distinctive alternative to traditional mesh bracelets.

Beneath the decorative slats, a finely woven stainless steel mesh provides exceptional flexibility and everyday comfort while helping prevent hair pulling. The bracelet also features beautifully finished spring-loaded end pieces and the signature forward-facing Komfit clasp for secure, continuously adjustable wear.

About the brand

Forstner produces stainless steel watch bracelets based on mid-century designs originally developed for tool watches and documented in early aerospace use. These archived patterns form the foundation of the modern lineup, which the brand reproduces using updated machining while preserving the proportions and details that defined the originals.

Forstner Thin As A Dime

After purchasing a Buzz Rickson A-11, I was hoping to find a quality vintage styled bracelet to pair with the watch. The Forstner Thin as a Dime military bracelet works perfectly with the A-11's case and is a little more robust than other A-11 bracelet options, like the Bonklip.

This is one of the most disappointing things I have purchased

Definitely not worth $132 or whatever it is. Pretty poor quality for the price. Hard as all get out to get on the wrist. I thought I would be all cool like the astronauts, what a waste. Can’t return after installing either. If you want to struggle every time you put the watch on have at it.

Thanks for the feedback. The Komfit has a different fastening system than standard bracelets, which can take a bit of getting used to and may feel stiff or awkward at first. Once adjusted, it’s designed to allow fine sizing and a secure fit, but the initial setup can be less intuitive if you’re used to traditional clasps. We appreciate you sharing your experience.
