The Forstner Wide Komfit bracelet revives one of the most iconic watch bracelets ever produced. Worn by astronauts during the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs, the original Komfit became known for its lightweight construction, exceptional adjustability, and all-day comfort. This wider reissue preserves those qualities while offering proportions better suited to larger modern watches.
The Wide Komfit's woven stainless steel mesh is remarkably light, breathable, and flexible, conforming comfortably to the wrist without feeling bulky. Its wider square-pattern mesh provides greater visual presence while preserving the unmistakable appearance that made the original a favorite among astronauts and collectors alike.
The straight-end version features universal spring-loaded end pieces that fit a range of lug widths, along with the signature forward-facing clasp and continuously adjustable design that allow for an exceptionally precise fit.
Length:
Compatible with watches using 18mm, 19mm, 20mm, 21mm, or 22mm lugs.
Choose between two lengths:
Original replicates the longer bracelet worn over astronauts' space suits and fits wrists approximately 7" to 10".
Regular is designed for everyday wear and fits wrists approximately 5-3/4" to 7".
If your wrist measures about 7", either length will fit, though the Original offers the more authentic vintage appearance.
The clasp adjusts in fine increments, making it easy to achieve a precise, comfortable fit.
If your wrist measurement falls near the overlap between sizes, either length may work depending on your preferred tension. A shorter length will feel firmer and more secure, while a longer length offers a slightly more relaxed fit.
Swim ready, suitable for swimming and regular water exposure.
Clean with warm water and mild soap using a soft cloth or brush. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasives and polishing compounds.
