Forstner Komfit Gold-Plated Mesh Watch Bracelet
- Price
- $132
Forstner's expandable Komfit JB (JB Champion) stainless steel mesh watch bracelet was one of the only bands sanctioned by NASA for use on manned space missions. It was worn by astronauts throughout the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs, and even made it to the surface of the moon.
Now, after a long hiatus (during which only high-priced vintage models could be sourced), Forstner has improved and reissued this classic. The wide version of the Komfit has all the features that popularized the bracelet with NASA, and is identical to the original -- with the width increased to more contemporary proportions.

After purchasing a Buzz Rickson A-11, I was hoping to find a quality vintage styled bracelet to pair with the watch. The Forstner Thin as a Dime military bracelet works perfectly with the A-11's case and is a little more robust than other A-11 bracelet options, like the Bonklip.
Definitely not worth $132 or whatever it is. Pretty poor quality for the price. Hard as all get out to get on the wrist. I thought I would be all cool like the astronauts, what a waste. Can’t return after installing either. If you want to struggle every time you put the watch on have at it.
