Got my Tropic strap recently and I am impressed with the quality and design. I put the strap on my Zodiac Pistachio pro diver. Both the strap and watch make for a great combo. The watch wears even better with the tropic strap than the original bracelet. Everyone should have a Tropic strap for their "tool watch". You will not be disappointed.
Got this for my Doxa Sub 200
The original steel strap is very good, but this vintage aesthetic Tropic paired with an orange face dial and its vintage aesthetic just pops the look out. Thanks Holben. Service was quick and efficient and I am a happy Tropic strapped Doxa owner!
The Tropic strap is a great piece of diving history, and looks terrific on my Seiko SPB143 “62mas” watch. The 62mas was originally sold on a Tropic strap, so I bought one for my watch. It looks and feels great. I’ve bought several straps from Holben’s, and their service is excellent. Both the Tropic strap and Holben’s service are highly recommended!
I have tried some high end rubber straps and this material is up there with the best. Pliable, soft and comfortable. Very breathable. Smells like vanilla too!
Will deduct points for two aspects:
- The fit on my 20mm lug width watch (SLA023) is a hair loose.
- Would have definitely preferred 2.0mm spring bars since the 1.8mm are also a bit loose on the lug hole.
Overall, very happy with my purchase.
The anthracite Tropic is perfect on my Sinn 857. I needed something to handle the humidity but still look smart enough for everyday wear. I thought the black would be a little too on the nose so I went with the grey. It goes surprisingly well with the tegimented case. It wears comfortably, but the spacing between the holes is a bit more spread out than your normal strap (not a deal breaker for me but should be stated). Great strap, would highly recommend.
Very pleased with this strap. Quality buckle and I like the dual keepers. The rubber is nice and flexible and the taper makes for a great wearing strap. Good case of you get what you pay for.
A quality tropic strap and a great green color. Works well with any vintage or vintage-inspired watch. I have min on a Seiko SPB143. The rubber is soft and flexible, more so than most FKM versions. And Holbens is top shelf in terms of service!
What’s to say? This is my 3rd Tropic brand rubber strap. It’s old school with a retro taper, mine is 20mm-16mm. Smells good and has just enough flex to make it feel like butter on the wrist.
After buying one Tropic strap in black I have returned to buy a few other colors as they are one of the most comfortable wearing rubber straps I've ever had. The Anthracite color is a dark gray but wouldn't quite call it "almost black" Will be back to purchase more strap from holbens.
Quality beautiful watch strap! The problem is it is surprisingly long. The watch I fit it to has a relatively short 46mm lug to lug and the specs on this strap seemed close enough but even though I have a 7.25 inch wrist this strap is 10-15mm too long for a perfect fit.
The Tropic strap is such a jump up in quality and feel from generic rubber options. It just looks great with its almost texture appearance and slight taper. It stays cool with the racing eyelets and is very comfortable on the wrist and pairs nicely with a vintage sport steel watch. I also have a vintage Tropic and this new iteration from Italy matches up very comparably.
Nice quality band with an authentic retro feel! Like the brown strap I also ordered, the light grey strap pairs nicely with the green dial & white indices on my Oris Divers Sixty-Five. Same as the brown, I am deducting one star because the fit is a bit finnicky. Most likely an issue with my wrist being between sizes, but I often have trouble getting the perfect fit. Sixth hole is too loose, but fifth is often too tight. Hoping it may just need a break in period, because it’s a gorgeous strap!

The strap is great, and as always, working with Holen's has been fantastic. Strap arrived well and quickly. It's pricey for a rubber strap, but you can definitely tell the difference between vulcanized and the cheaper straps. Super soft and flexible, and breathes just fine. Goes really well on my green dial Bulova Devil Diver. I wish they made it in a smaller size so I could use it on my vintage divers as well. Haven't tried its underwater capabilities yet, but I can't imagine it'll be an issue. Weirdly, it smells like vanilla. Unsure the deal, but I'm here for it.
I loved the strap. As soon as I opened the package and took out the strap, I could tell it was very special. The rubber feels light but sturdy and had a quality feeling. I put it on my Seiko slim turtle and it instantly made it seem more premium as if this is the strap that it should have been on it from the factory. I considered buying one from Uncle Straps, but I wanted the original not a reproduction. Sometimes its worth the extra money to just buy the real item and see for yourself what the fuss is all about. That's not always possible, but in this case, it was and Im glad that I didn't cheap out. Thanks for a excellent product.
The Tropic watch strap looks great, feels great and doesn't allow water or sweat to accumulate under it during activity. My only issue would be with the strap length. I have a 6.75 inch wrist and this strap would suit my skinny wrist better if it were 10 - 15 mm shorter

The strap is consistent with the description. The color (anthracite) is close to what's pictured on the website. It's flexible and soft and doesn't pick up lint. It's the genuine TROPIC strap so I can't complain although it's a bit pricey; but if you want the real thing and not an imitation, be prepared to spend a little bit.
