A quality tropic strap and a great green color. Works well with any vintage or vintage-inspired watch. I have min on a Seiko SPB143. The rubber is soft and flexible, more so than most FKM versions. And Holbens is top shelf in terms of service!
What’s to say? This is my 3rd Tropic brand rubber strap. It’s old school with a retro taper, mine is 20mm-16mm. Smells good and has just enough flex to make it feel like butter on the wrist.
After buying one Tropic strap in black I have returned to buy a few other colors as they are one of the most comfortable wearing rubber straps I've ever had. The Anthracite color is a dark gray but wouldn't quite call it "almost black" Will be back to purchase more strap from holbens.
Starting off this review by saying this is a really good strap. It's very soft and comfortable for all day wear. It seems like really sturdy material and the texture is really nice without being abrasive. In those aspects, I think it's worth the premium price.
I do have one gripe, however. The holes for the spring bars on the straps are slightly too large for a standard spring bar but not quite big enough for a fat, Seiko style spring bar. The effect is that the watch doesn't sit very well at the proximal end. For a strap as expensive as it is, I would expect it to sit a little tighter on the wrist.
One of my favorite watch straps. Looks great and is well made. A little longer than some of my other bands but still fits well. The polished and brushed buckle matches my watch. Very happy with it!
These new Tropics are excellent. Very soft, nicely sized, with dual keepers. Can't ask for much more. I love how this looks on my Sinn and now I want more colors.
I purchased the black Tropic strap to pair with my beloved 62 mas reimagined Seiko SBDC101. This strap is the perfect aftermarket option for any vintage-inspired skin diver but it looks especially at home on my Seiko. The thickness of the strap is ideal for this watch. I love the finer details of the strap, like how the cross-hatch pattern is visible on on the ends when you look down to check the time. I also love how the strap tapers to 16mm, unlike a lot of the other tropic-inspired straps that usually taper to 18mm. The design of the buckle allows it to sit flush on the underside of strap, which is another small but important detail, especially when spending a little extra $$. Overall, very pleased with the purchase.
