First introduced in 1969, the ISOfrane VS 1969 strap comes from the early era of professional dive watches, when brands were looking for alternatives to heavy steel bracelets. Its vented rubber design showed up on models from Aquastar, Doxa, and Omega, where flexibility and reliability mattered more than finish. The wide channels and rectangular perforations still give it that same tool-driven look on modern divers, especially when paired with larger cases or vintage reissues.
Material & feel
The strap is made from vulcanized rubber, which improves elasticity and long-term durability compared to standard rubber compounds. It handles saltwater, sun exposure, and temperature changes without drying out or cracking. The surface has a low-sheen finish with a smooth underside that reduces friction on the wrist. The vented channel design helps moisture escape and keeps the strap from feeling sealed against the skin. It is fitted with a stainless steel buckle and integrated quick-release spring bars for tool-free installation.

Swim ready, suitable for swimming and regular water exposure.
