Vegetable-tanned Italian calfskin with an exceptionally fine grain.
Made from vegetable-tanned Tuscan calfskin, the Siena has a rich surface with fine grain, softly burnished edges and a subtle hand-finished sheen that feels traditionally Italian. Hirsch put a lot of detail into the construction, from the hand-lacquered edges to the subtle embossing and fine backstitched seams. The look is of an old leather accessory that has been carefully maintained for decades.
Material & feel
The strap is made from vegetable-tanned Italian calfskin leather that is barrel-dyed through the fibers for consistent color and durability. The leather has a fine natural grain and a supple hand that allows it to bend easily around the wrist while maintaining its shape over time.
Construction includes fine tone-on-tone backstitched seams, a hand-sewn bar seam at the buckle, and safety stitching on the loose keeper. The edges use Hirsch’s Rembordé construction and are finished with three hand-applied layers of lacquer for durability and a clean edge profile. The underside is lined with Hirsch Silkglove leather, which is soft, breathable, and comfortable against the skin.

Wear & care
Can get wet, handles regular water exposure but will absorb moisture. Allow it to dry fully after use.
Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If needed, rinse briefly under lukewarm water and allow to air dry fully. Avoid prolonged soaking, cleaners or conditioners.
