A velvety Nappa sheepskin surface gives the Hirsch Merino an exceptionally soft, refined character. The smooth leather and gentle drape suit slim dress watches and polished cases, where the strap adds warmth without distracting from clean dial layouts. It pairs naturally with silver or champagne dials featuring baton markers or Roman numerals.
Material & feel
The strap is crafted from French Nappa sheepskin, a supple leather known for its exceptionally soft hand. The material flexes easily from the start and conforms to the wrist without a break-in period. Its fine grain creates a smooth, uniform surface that remains comfortable during extended wear.
The underside is lined with Hirsch OysterGlove Supersoft leather, which is hypoallergenic and gentle against the skin. The strap is fitted with a Hirsch-branded polished stainless steel buckle.

Merino has a slim profile that sits close to the wrist and fits easily under a cuff. It keeps bulk down at the lugs and breaks in quickly.
Length & wrist size:
- Short: 110mm / 70mm (fits wrists approx. 6.25–7.0in)
- Regular: 120mm / 80mm (fits wrists approx. 6.75–7.75in)
If your wrist sits near the overlap between sizes, either length can work. A shorter strap reduces tail and positions the buckle more tightly, while a longer strap provides more room and tail.
Measurements exclude the buckle.
Hirsch length labeling: M = Short and L = Regular on product packaging.

Wear & care
Can get wet, handles regular water exposure but will absorb moisture. Allow it to dry fully after use.
Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If needed, rinse briefly under lukewarm water and allow to air dry fully. Avoid prolonged soaking, cleaners or conditioners.
