Headquartered in Klagenfurt, Austria, Hirsch was established in 1765 as a leather workshop and tannery. It remains a family-owned business to this day, and continues to gain recognition for excellence and innovation in watch strap design.
Constructed from soft, velvety French Nappa sheepskin leather, the Hirsch Merino is one of our most supple watch straps (no break-in period!). Hirsch's proprietary Oysterglove SuperSoft leather lining is hypoallergenic and comfortable against the skin.
All of our Hirsch straps are integrated with handy quick-release spring bars. Prefer standard spring bars? Quick-release bars are easy to remove: simply slide the lever as far as you can to the left, then gently bend back the strap corner until the bar emerges from the slot.

Purchased this from my Grand Seiko and it looks and feels awesome. The leather of this strap is buttery soft and so comfortable on the wrist. As always, a great experience purchasing from Holben’s!
Great band! Nice materials and shipped very fast. Hoping to get the same one in brown next. I am still waiting for my watch to be returned from service and I’m very much so looking forward to getting it back so I can put on the new watch band. As a vintage Wittnauer in silver this should be a perfect complement.
I picked up the 20mm version of this Hirsch Merino black sheepskin strap, as I wanted to stop wearing the black patent leather strap that came with my Seiko SARB065. This sheepskin leather strap is noticeably more supple than the Hirsch Kent calfskin leather strap that I have, and conformed to my wrist extremely well, right out of the packaging. It is also obviously far more comfortable than the original patent leather strap. The subtle texture of the sheepskin adds some visual interest, while still making it a suitable choice to wear with a black leather belt and shoes. The polished hardware matches the polished surfaces of the watch's case, the included quick-release spring bars made installation extremely easy, and everything fits as it should.
