Built from waterproof leather, the Mariner has the thick stitching, rectangular padding and broad profile commonly associated with older leather sport straps. The waxed surface develops visible variation and a broken-in look over time, especially around the edges and keepers. Despite the substantial shape, the leather stays soft and flexible rather than stiff.

Material & feel

The strap is made from vegetable-tanned full grain cow leather treated with a protective wax coating. The finish gives the leather a smooth, matte surface while helping repel moisture. Despite its sturdy structure, the leather remains flexible and comfortable during wear.

The underside is lined with Hirsch DivingGlove leather, which is supple, hypoallergenic, and designed to sit comfortably against the skin. The strap is fitted with a Hirsch-branded polished stainless steel buckle.

Wear & care

Can get wet, handles regular water exposure but will absorb moisture. Allow it to dry fully after use.

Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth or rinse under lukewarm water as needed. Do not use leather cleaners or conditioners. Allow to air dry fully and do not store while damp.
