I just love this band! It looks fantastic with my vintage Gruen watch. I have never had a “short” band and I should’ve been ordering this from the beginning. I’m getting on website now to find another color of the same band!
I purchased this vintage Bulova watch for two reasons. First because of the great art deco carving of the lugs and it was also manufactured in my birth year. It did not come with a strap so I looked for one that would accentuate the beauty of the old watch but not distract from it. Searching the internet I came across Holben and they had just what I needed at a fair price. Purchased the band and it was shipped the same day and I received it several days later. Very fast for a cross country purchase. The band was finely crafted and fit perfectly. Because of Holben’s great service and fine products, I’ve ordered 2 more since. I highly recommend Holben and they’ll most likely have just what you need
The quality of this strap was evident as soon as I opened the package. The leather is supple and the crocodile grain rivals the real thing.
Breaking in this strap will only two or three wearings and I’m sure it will serve me well for a long time.
Not too stiff for a new strap so it wears well. Came with the gold buckle as ordered. Very pleased with the purchase all round.

I purchased this strap for my gold 1959 Longines Automatic. The watch came with a brown leather version of the same brand of strap, and seeing the quick release I immediately thought it would be great to be able to change to a black leather version for certain situations. I couldn’t be happier! The quality of the strap is superb! Installation is easy, as is switching from one band to the other. It looks fantastic, and I get compliments all the time. I will definitely be a returning customer!
Really happy with this strap. Picked it up for my Seagull Moonphase Chronograph and it fits perfectly. The leather feels great right away, not too stiff, and it’s already starting to break in nicely. The croc pattern looks clean and gives the watch a much more dressed-up look without being over the top. Definitely a big upgrade from the stock strap. Super comfortable and looks even better in person. Would buy again.

In February’26 I purchased from Holben’s a Hirsch Crocgrain Leather Strap. I paired that with watch with a champagne dial with gold accents that I bought last year but I hadn’t worn. The Hirsch strap is really a dark brown and contrasted with the champagne and gold dial it has made my watch a classic looking beauty !
Not only am I happy with the strap which is my forth purchase from Holben’s but I’ve been very pleased with the service from the company as well which is why I’m a repeat customer.
The black leather band received is perfect. Good flexibility and high quality. Exactly as described. After looking at many online websites, this one provided the most helpful information to get the length I needed. Liked that they gave me buckle finish options (in my case gold with black band). Delivery was faster than estimated by the seller. Biggest problem was getting the old leather band off. However, putting the new band on was easy due to the quick release spring bar pins. I had worried that the spring pin knobs might stick out enough to be uncomfortable on the skin, but I don't feel a thing. Overall fantastic!
First time ordering from Holben fine watch bands, and I was quite happy with the purchase. Initially the band was a bit stiff, but over the course of one week it softened up nicely. It appears to be high quality and looks very nice with my Movado watch. Would not hesitate to order from them in the future.
This purchase did not work out, though Ive been pleased with past purchases. I have a very thin wrist and need a short band. When this one arrived, it was really no shorter than a standard watchband. Additionally, the “quick release pin” was a huge source of frustration, and we ended up removing it altogether and replacing it with a standard pin. At the end of the day, with some jerryrigging we made the watchband work, but it was not at all what we had hoped for. On a positive note, shipping and communication were spot on. :-)
Hi TMC, thanks for the feedback and it's nice to hear that our shipping and communication met expectations. The Crocograin does come in Short length, but the difference from Regular is only about 10mm per side, so it can still feel close to a standard strap depending on wrist size. For thin wrists, getting the exact measurements right makes a big difference, and we’re always happy to help with that.
Quick-release bars are designed to make installation easier, not harder. If they were frustrating (which it sounds like they were), something likely wasn’t lining up. I'm glad you were able to make it work, and if you ever want help finding a better fit, feel free to reach out.

I needed a strap for a vintage Seiko that I picked up off eBay. I heard a lot of great things about Hirsch and decided to pull the trigger on this strap. Superb quality and the best part is that it wasn't too stiff, which can happen with lesser quality leather straps. I'll be continuing to purchase Hirsch straps in the future, and from Holben's!

(Order #94313 December 16, 2024) Excitement short lived. I was so excited to order this watchband and change out an older one (40 years!) I just received it today. Seems like a long time for shipment. After two hours, I gave up on getting the watchband changed over. Just would not fit. Measurements were exact. Very disappointed as seems like a quality product and reputable company.

We were given an old, family Seiko tank watch. So old the leather band broke apart. Had a new battery put in and works like a charm so purchased this band to replace the old. Looks stunning. Great quality watchband.

The quality of the Hirsch Crocograin watch band is very apparent. I was looking for a nice replacement for my Swiss made watch. The service provided by Mike post sale was outstanding. The watchband needed curved pins to fit appropriately. Mike sent me a pair once I contacted him with my issue. He also provided me instructions on how to remove the quick release pins from the Hirsch watch band which was necessary for use of the curved pins. So nice these days to find reputable businesses providing excellent service.
I just recently purchased another watch band from Holben’s for my sports watch as a result of my excellent experience.
Wanted to get a new black strap for my vintage gold Longines, but found it difficult to find a high-quality - but reasonably priced - 17mm strap on other sites. (Apparently it's a more difficult size to get?)
Got the strap, with an extra buckle. Love the quick-release bar. Even my watch person was impressed, after suggesting I go to another site for a 17mm strap (of course it doesn't carry that size.)
