Haveston Service Watch Dial Coasters - Set B

Haveston's Service Dial Coaster series recreates some of the most recognizable military watch dials of the twentieth century in oversized silicone form, designed as both drink coasters and soft resting places for watches.

MK.X WWW / Dirty Dozen - 1945
Commissioned by the British Ministry of Defence, the MK.X became known as one of the ‘Dirty Dozen’ watches produced by twelve different manufacturers during WWII. Its design featured a small seconds subdial, radium lume and the British broad arrow military marking, replacing the earlier white-dial ATP watches.

Mil-W-50717 Type-1 - 1961
An unconventional dive-watch layout, defined by its lack of numerals and oversized geometric markers at the cardinal positions. Tritium lume was applied throughout for underwater legibility, while the asymmetrical case used an integrated crown guard.

Trench - 1918
Trench watches marked the first widespread military use of wristwatches and were often distinguished by angular Gothic-style numerals. Because radium lume adhered poorly to enamel dials, recessed markers were used to hold the luminous paint, including a double marker at 12 o’clock for orientation in darkness.

MK.XI / 6B-346 - 1949
Commissioned by the British Ministry of Defence, the MKXI was issued to the RAF and other military aviation units under strict navigational specifications. The watch combined a hacking movement with triangle and baton markers designed for clear legibility. The design remained in service into the early 1980s.
