Alex, the founder of British strapmaker Haveston, is fueled by a passion for horology and history. Throughout Haveston's varied and growing portfolio, its designs are defined by a focus on the honest utilitarian character of vintage military industrial equipment used by service personnel for aviation, space exploration, combat and other purposes.
If Haveston's commitment to continuous refinement and innovation is any indication, we can expect much more from the company -- with one underlying idea. According to Alex: "At the end of the day, it always comes back to that service-driven purpose, regardless of whether that is to your community, family, or the world. Having a little reminder of that on your wrist is quite special."
Part of the Service series of nylon straps and an original Haveston pattern design, Fortress B is based on the 1940 USAAF Spec. 24114 aircraft camouflage scheme (olive drab, grey and orange yellow) used in the European theater of WWII.
The A2 version features a single-pass layout for a streamlined wearing profile and reduced "off-wrist" height. The sliding keeper allows easy and secure stowing of the tail.

HOW OTHERS ARE PAIRING IT
It’s my second Haveston strap. I have several NATO straps from other manufacturers, but Haveston straps are ones of the best. Material is sturdy yet supple; the hardware and buckle with stamped logo look really nice. I love single pass design; it doesn’t make the strap look too thick on my wrist. The strap looks amazing on my vintage military-style Praesidus DD-45, it brings out the vintage “Dirty Dozen” look even more. I was also impressed by the quality and design of the packaging. Highly recommended, 5 stars!
Appreciate the fine quality and design of this watch strap. for my Nite tritium watch from England. While it is apparently a tough build, it is extremely comfortable to wear. It lacks the second strap layer that passes under the watch to create a layer between your skin and the watch pins like a typical Nato strap design, however, it still provides the desired security should one of the pins/spring bars fail. It was just long enough for my wrist, so it may not fit some with larger wrists. Appreciated the fast shipping and great communication when I needed to modify my order.
Let's start with the packaging - Haveston understands that unpacking your new strap is an important part of the experience and can add to the feeling that you purchased a quality product.
The strap itself is well made, has just the right length (I find many NATOs too long), and wears well on the wrist. All in all a fun summer strap - can recommend.
High quality and great value. Per usual, Holben's has stellar customer service and fast shipping.

I'm used to buying my Nato straps on Amazon because to be honest I hate spending a lot of money on straps. With that being said, you do get what you pay for on there! The straps are generally very low quality. I did some research and fell in love with these Haveston General Service Natos l, but I didn't want to wait weeks on end to get these shipped from Haveston who are located in England.
Thankfully Holbens carried these and I got them in about two business days! The price is fairly steep at $40 for two straps, but the quality and looks are amazing!! Hands down worth the price! Thanks Holbens for being one of (if not the the only) U.S. merchant to carry this line!
Very nice construction and materials. I am realizing the single pass "nato" design is not my favorite and I wish the strap were a little longer. It is also not the best for watch cases with prominent curved lugs like the Hamilton Field Khaki as shown on.
Pretty nice quality. First single pass"nato" and I like it, just do not love it. Wish it were slightly longer. That aside, appears to be very well made with smooth weave and decent hardware. The search still continues for my grail strap option. Will still wear it though and it compliments a wide range of watches. Glycine combat sub 42 for reference...
When I first got into this hobby I was obsessed with rubber and leather straps. I slowly worked my way up to bracelets and then of course transitioned to nato as well. I've purchased nato straps from other companies but none of them hold a candle to the quality and detail that Haveston offers. The buckle polishing is especially nice with a beautiful logo mark inscribed on it. The look and feel of this strap is so good I ordered a second one that has yet to be received. I'm especially taken with the single pass design of their straps as it allows the watch to fit more snug to the wrist. I highly recommend this brand!
P.S. In receiving this strap I was immediately surprised by the quality and design of the packaging. Being a designer means I could geek out all day on good packaging and Haveston has completely knocked it outta the park.
