Orange IVA strap inspired by Skylab-era flight suits.
Bright orange flight suits used during the Skylab program in 1973 marked a shift toward higher visibility for intra-vehicular activity, a tone that carried forward into later shuttle-era equipment. The Haveston IVA Skylab ’73 carries that same saturated orange across the strap, set against black backing with crisp white markings. The contrast is immediate and functional, echoing how these suits were designed to stand out clearly in confined, equipment-heavy environments. That strong color separation translates well to tool watches and chronographs, where legibility and visual clarity drive the overall look.
Nylon exterior with integrated hook-and-loop lining. The strap uses a reinforced layered build with full-length webbing support, giving it a structured and slightly rigid feel. The surface has a fine woven texture with a matte finish. A bead-blasted stainless steel hoop buckle and a rubber locking keeper provide secure fastening.

IVA’s one-piece configuration threads behind the watch, helping keep it secured if a spring bar fails. To protect surface-applied markings, avoid machine washing, abrasives and high heat. Rinse with lukewarm water as needed. Mild soap may be used. Allow to air dry fully. Markings may fade with use or repeated abrasion during installation, especially if the bar-to-case clearance is tight.
