Hadley-Roma's sustainable, 100% animal-free appleskin strap is made using cellulose fiber waste recovered from the industrial-scale processing of apples into juice. This breathable, comfortable strap has a smooth finish and cut and painted edges.
Beautiful strap! Very comfortable and could easily pass for leather. Stainless steel buckle. The non-tapering width and oblong adjustment holes give the strap a great, sporty look that perfectly complements my Tissot Seastar (see photos).

So "apple peel" seemed like a far-left-field leather alternative, but I liked the clean finish and decided to take a chance on it. I'm really digging how flexible it is, how it feels on the wrist, and how durable it seems. Of course, the real test will be how long it lasts without cracking/peeling/flaking/whatever, but so far this material is holding up nicely and looking good at the same time.
