The Fluco Mountain Bear has a soft, matte surface that brings out the texture of the leather without adding shine. Handmade in Germany from nubuck cowhide, the fine nap and subtle texture complement dress watches, minimal designs, and simpler vintage pieces.

Material & feel

Nubuck cowhide sourced from Italy, produced by sanding the full-grain surface to create a fine nap. The leather has a soft feel with a matte finish and is treated to be water-repellent while remaining breathable.

Edges are painted, sanded and polished several times by hand. Stitching is reinforced with double stitching at the ends and buckle. A glass fiber layer is integrated within the strap to help resist tearing and shrinking. Lined with leather from France that is water-repellent and hypoallergenic.

I have too many watch straps. It's kind of a problem. These Fluco Mountain Bear Nubuck straps are my new favorites. Are they made from genuine mountain bears? I don't know. And I don't care. I like them. They look cool. They feel nice. And they're the first straps I've had where the holes are punched closely enough for me to get a great fit throughout the day as my wrist expands and contracts. I've had to punch extra holes in all of my other straps, and it's hit or miss. But I don't have to do that with these.

Holben's service -- as always -- was excellent.

Thank you.

Excellent, high quality watch band for my Stowa Marine Classic. It worked perfectly with my Stowa deployment buckle and looked elegant. The buckle it comes with is excellent too. The strap arrived very quickly and the price is great.

Excellent Quality, Thick Ends

Quality is excellent at this price point, wish they stitched the keepers but I’ve never had an issue from Fluco. Love the color. Soft out of the packaging and no break in needed. While not a flaw per se, the spring bar ends are very thick, and make it difficult to attach to short lug watches. Still made it work on my White Shadow with curved springbars though and love it to bits.

Perfect band, but the buckle doesn’t close properly

I love the strap and it fits perfectly, but I ended up having to swap out the OEM buckle because the buckle didn’t fit correctly. The buckle pin is too short to safely secure it and I feel like the watch is at risk of falling off with the wrong move.

Overall 10/10 without this one issue.

Insane quality

The quality of this suede strap is excellent. I recommend it for dress watches with a diameter of less than 40mm and a thickness of less than 13mm. Since the leather isn't very thick, it might not provide the best comfort for field or sports watches. The gold buckle option fits well with my gold-plated watch.

Great strap, but beware light colors however

The whiskey colored strap looks great but… since it’s nubuck it gets dirty and is very sensitive to oil. This can look good on the right watch, but not sure it works with the silver dial Omega Constellation .

The strap itself is very well made. I’d go darker if I’d get this again.

Protip: if you have 7.5” wrists this might be a bit small (it works but on the second hole). But you can upgrade to Fluco deployment clasp (sold here separately) which will give you some extra room.

Another subtle, handsome Fluco

Bought this one to replace the stock-but-worn-out croc strap on my new-to-me Longines. The strap is flexible enough on the ends to accommodate curved springbars, which is what I had to use on this case. The color and texture of the leather is about perfect. My only gripe is that I wish the holes were punched a bit further down the tail; I'm usually on the last hole, but this is a pretty small-cased watch, to be fair. Otherwise, can't go wrong with these Fluco straps!

Great soft nubuck finish, very pliable strap and a good fit. Perfect for my everyday Sector.

I bought the strap for my Cartier Tank Louis. The strap is beautifully made with immaculate stitching. The leather is supple and easy to wear from day 1. No break in required. I wish the leather was darker brown, but the quality, feel, fit, and finishing are all top notch. For the price, you really can’t do much better.

Great strap

Quality strap, and comfortable. Really thick piece of nubuck that feels like it’s going to last a long time (like other Fluco straps I’ve purchased from Holbens).
