A single-pass layout gives the Fluco Finest a low-profile feel with one continuous layer under the watch. Handmade in Germany using naturally shrunken Perlinger calfskin, the leather has a fine, pebbled grain. The hardware and contrast stitching keep the familiar military look, while the simple configuration is easy to wear (and switch out) on field watches and everyday pieces.

Material & feel

Premium calfskin from the Perlinger tannery in Germany, which has been owned by the same family for more than 150 years. The leather has a soft feel with a matte surface and visible natural variation.

Keeper loops and buckle attachments are sewn into place and reinforced with double stitching. A glass fiber layer is integrated within the strap to help resist tearing and shrinking. Lined with leather that is water repellent and hypoallergenic. Fitted with a polished stainless steel German-made buckle and keeper rings.

About the brand

Founded in 1952, Fluco is a third-generation family-owned strap maker based in Furth im Wald in Germany’s Bavarian Forest. The company produces leather and textile watch straps in-house in Germany, works with carefully selected tanneries, and pairs its straps with German-made buckles. Fluco’s designs tend to favor clean lines and solid materials over decorative flourishes.

Grey is great too!

Bought this strap in brown and grey so comments in my review of the brown also apply equally to the grey, which is a really nice neutral shade, but difficult to capture the true color in photos. The only thing I’d change about these straps is the hardware; bead-blasted or at least brushed instead of polished would make them more versatile, but as with the brown, I’ll still be ordering another when the grey is back in stock.

Excellent leather single-pass strap

Just right - nice shade of brown that’s not too dark / not too light. Thickness is also perfect for most field or pilot style watches; easily but securely slips through the lugs of several of my Hamilton 38mm & 40mm models. Liked it so much in fact that I ordered another for back-up…just in case. Thanks to Holben’s as always for great selection, value and customer service.

Everything you would want in a 1 piece strap.

Leather is soft and relatively thin, as you would expect on a 1 piece strap. I bought it to go with a recently acquired 1970s era Citizen Eagle 7. The Fluco strap really brings new life to the old Citizen.

Soft, supple, and oh so stylish

This is one of several Fluco straps I have purchased from Holben’s, and just like the others the quality is top notch. Unlike some other leather nato straps I’ve tried, this one is thin enough that it does not add excessive bulk between the watch and my wrist. This is a versatile strap in a color that works with many different colors and styles of watch. You won’t be disappointed.

Best single pass strap

High quality stitching, nice texture, very supple. It is surprisingly thin yet seems it will last use. Love the leather top pattern and how it looks with my panda dial chrono. It really makes the watch pop!

Very solid CASUAL brown leather NATO band

Quite textured, which is somewhat apparent from picture. Was originally aiming for a nice "dress" brown leather band, whereas this is a tad too casual. But it has assumed a nice role in the NATO band rotation for casual button down shirts with brown shoes.

Soft, but doesn't feel sturdy

It's hard to describe, but the leather has very little body to it, it's feels fairly soft, but does not seem to have the proper stiffness to it that I would like and that would give it a higher quality feel. Additionally, it's too long for my wrists, but that's not really the band's fault.

Good to hear the softness came through. At around 1.6mm thick with no padding, the 1-piece Finest model is intentionally slim and flexible, so it won’t have the same structure as thicker straps. One-piece designs also run longer, which can affect fit depending on wrist size.

Favorite Strap for Casual Watches.

Bought one in black - convinced me to by the other two colors. Great straps! Soft, flexible leather and sturdy construction and stitching. Utilitarian sizing fit smallest wrist - or over sleeve cuff. Simple, Single strap means no messing with spring bars. Stainless keepers will not tear off. No waisted leather or extra, useless keepers/rings. Respectable strap even on the most expensive casual watches. Price to value is right.

Excellent! Only criticism is that I would make the band shorter. Clear quality and very comfortable.

Excellent Strap.

Strap appears to be very well constructed; pronounced, natural looking people grain; soft leather, but not as thick as keeper ring would suggest; One piece strap, 11 holes, 11 inches in total length. Nice, stitching should keep the Lustrous, matte finish top leather and velvety lining from separating. Very comfortable. Value for price seems spot-on. A dressier casual G10/NATO/MOD style strap for every day wear on my Swiss dive watch This strap made a very good first impression. I expect to order another very soon.
