Fluco Butterfly Deployant Clasp - Polished Stainless Steel
- Price
- $36
Located in Germany's Bavarian Forest, Fluco manufactures 100% in-house at its headquarters in the town of Furth im Wald. Owner Ulrich Fleischmann represents the third generation of his family to lead the company that his grandfather founded more than 70 years ago, producing handmade watch straps of the highest quality for men and women.
Fluco carefully vets every partner they collaborate with. Fluco's buckles are made entirely in Germany, at a traditional company in Baden Württemberg that tasks itself with producing premium clasps for watch straps.
Fluco's popular butterfly deployant clasps are perfect for dive and sport watches and any other setups where you need a stronger, safer buckle connection than a standard pin buckle can provide. These heavy gauge polished stainless steel folding clasps are easily adjustable, and fit straps up to 3.5mm thick.
Material:
- Heavy gauge stainless steel
Sizing:
- Available in 16mm, 18mm and 20mm
- Fits straps up to 3.7mm thick
- To determine the clasp size you need, measure your band at the buckle end. (Be sure to measure at the point where the strap meets the buckle!)
Good price and well made German product. A bit chunky. The butterfly design that allows it to fold from both sides, spreads the underside of the the clasp across the middle of your wrist, which is flat, as opposed to the edge of the wrist, which is obviously rounded. This makes the head of the watch sit better on the top of your wrist and not tend to roll away from you. It can be pretty sharp and dig into your skin if you like to wear it tight, so that is somewhat unpleasant. Overall, I would recommend - it can really prolong the life of your strap when compared to a tang clasp.
The Fluco Butterfly clasp is an amazing deal. Not only is it made in Germany, but it is so well made for under $40. It fit perfect with the Fluco leather strap I put on my cheaper SEIKO and it makes the watch look way more expensive than it was. The butterfly clasp is the best way to prevent the leather from getting damaged. I plan to buy the next size up for a larger watch.
I purchased the Fluco deployant clasp for my new Massena Lab Uni-Racer chronograph watch. I've purchased this clasp from Holben's several times in the past and as in the past the clasp quality is great and Holben's ships the order fast. Can't really ask much more than that. I would definitely order this clasp from Holben's again.
