Garmin Watch Strap Size & Compatibility Guide: 18mm, 20mm & 22mm
Garmin watch strap sizes vary by model. Many Garmin watches use standard 18mm, 20mm or 22mm spring-bar connections, while others use Garmin QuickFit or dedicated attachment systems.
If your Garmin model is listed below as using a standard spring-bar connection, it can accept a conventional two-piece watch strap in the corresponding width. Confirm your exact model and attachment system before ordering.

Garmin Quick Release vs. QuickFit
Garmin Quick Release bands and Garmin QuickFit bands are not the same type of watch strap.
The Garmin models listed above use standard spring-bar connections. Although Garmin's Quick Release replacement bands use quick-release spring bars, a compatible conventional two-piece strap can also be used when it has the correct width and suitable spring bars.
Garmin QuickFit is a different attachment system. A Garmin watch that uses a 20mm or 22mm QuickFit strap should not be assumed to accept a conventional 20mm or 22mm watch strap simply because the stated width is the same. Check the attachment system for your exact Garmin model before ordering.
Choosing a Strap for Your Garmin Watch
If your Garmin uses one of the standard 18mm, 20mm or 22mm connections listed above, choose a conventional two-piece watch strap in the corresponding width. Options include leather watch straps, rubber watch straps and two-piece textile watch straps. Avoid designs that pass underneath the watch if they would cover the sensors on the back of the case.
Can You Use a Quick-Release Strap on a Garmin Watch?
Yes, if your Garmin uses a standard spring-bar connection and the strap is the correct width. Quick-release spring bars make it easy to change a strap without a spring-bar tool, but quick release is not required for every compatible replacement strap.
Check the Spring Bar Type listed on each Holben's product page to see whether a particular strap includes standard or quick-release spring bars.
Can You Use a Pass-Through Strap on a Garmin Watch?
A pass-through strap is not recommended if it runs between the back of your Garmin watch and your wrist. Many Garmin watches use sensors on the back of the case that depend on contact with your skin. A one-piece or pass-through strap running underneath the watch places material between the case back and your wrist and can prevent the watch from maintaining normal sensor contact. Choose a conventional two-piece strap that leaves the back of the watch unobstructed.
Before You Order
Fit note: Confirm your exact Garmin model, strap width and attachment system before ordering. A matching width alone does not establish compatibility if the watch uses Garmin QuickFit or another dedicated attachment system. Case shape, lug geometry and strap-end thickness can also affect clearance.
