Headquartered in Klagenfurt, Austria, Hirsch was established in 1765 as a leather workshop and tannery. It remains a family-owned business to this day, and continues to gain recognition for excellence and innovation in watch strap design.
Constructed from sturdy, soft, vegetable-tanned full grain cow leather with a special wax coating, Hirsch's Mariner strap is water repellent, quick drying and washable. It's also water resistant to 100m, making it an ideal leather strap for swimming and diving. Hirsch's proprietary DivingGlove leather lining is supple and soft against the skin. Mariner is a cinch to clean: simply rinse under lukewarm running water, then dry with a cotton cloth.
All of our Hirsch straps are integrated with handy quick-release spring bars. Prefer standard spring bars? Quick-release bars are easy to remove: simply slide the lever as far as you can to the left, then gently bend back the strap corner until the bar emerges from the slot.

Sizing & fit help
Padded leather straps wear with a fuller, more structured feel that gives the watch added presence on the wrist. The layered construction creates a rounded profile at the case while remaining smooth and comfortable against the skin.
The two-piece layout keeps the watch centered and supported, with the padding tapering away toward the buckle so the strap does not feel bulky once fastened. After settling, the strap maintains its shape and position, favoring a stable, refined fit over flexibility or drape.
Hirsch length labeling: Hirsch uses M for Short length and L for Regular length on product packaging.
Length & wrist size:
120mm / 80mm (fits wrists approx. 6.75–7.75in)
Measurements exclude the buckle.
Care & wear
Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning products, including leather cleaners. For heavier soiling, the strap may be briefly rinsed under running water. Avoid soaking or prolonged exposure to water. Dry with a soft cotton cloth or allow to air dry at room temperature. If the strap becomes damp from perspiration or heat, gently wipe with a dry, soft cloth.
