Headquartered in Klagenfurt, Austria, Hirsch was established in 1765 as a leather workshop and tannery. It remains a family-owned business to this day, and continues to gain recognition for excellence and innovation in watch strap design.
The ultimate in Italian artisan leather craftsmanship, the Hirsch Lucca is made from traditional full grain, vegetable-tanned, vat-dyed Tuscan calfskin that has been hand-finished for a patinated effect. Hirsch's proprietary OysterGlove Supersoft leather lining is supple and soft against the skin. Lucca is a cinch to clean: simply rinse under lukewarm running water, then dry with a cotton cloth.
All of our Hirsch straps are integrated with handy quick-release spring bars. Prefer standard spring bars? Quick-release bars are easy to remove: simply slide the lever as far as you can to the left, then gently bend back the strap corner until the bar emerges from the slot.
This is a sturdy and comfortable watch band. Even though I have a thin wrist, there are enough holes to allow my watch to sit comfortably on my wrist. Purchasing the band through Holben's was both easy and professional. (I had purchased a previous band but had misjudged the size; they issued a refund quickly and no questions asked.) They sent this watchband promptly and it has made my Orient my favorite watch. I must also agree with the reviewer who stated not to skimp on a nice strap.
This strap is so nice I ended up buying it in three different colours. The quick release spring bar makes changing straps easy.
