Of the many tanneries in the world, only a few have earned a reputation for being the best. At the top of that short list is the Horween Leather Company, established in Chicago in 1905. Ulrich Fleischmann personally toured the Horween tannery and spent some time with Nick Horween himself, discussing all of the beautiful things that can be made from leather. Fleischmann was deeply impressed by the experience, and the two companies have now been partnering for years to produce beautiful watch straps from various types of Horween leather.
Handmade in Germany using vegetable-tanned cowhide leather from the Horween tannery, Fluco's Dublin strap is treated with the same traditional tanning extracts (characterized by a high proportion of oil) used on their Horween shell cordovan straps. Marks and tonal variations lend a vintage appeal to the leather (see photos), which will age naturally and beautifully over time. Due to the different ways the oils and waxes affect vegetable-tanned leather, each strap is slightly different in color and finish.

Sizing & fit help
This slim strap keeps the watch close to the wrist without extra bulk at the lugs. The leather is flexible from the start and breaks in quickly.
Length & wrist size:
- Regular: 118mm / 75mm (fits wrists approx. 6.75–7.5in)
- Short: 110mm / 65mm (fits wrists approx. 6.25–6.75in)
If your wrist sits near the overlap between sizes, either length can work. A shorter strap reduces tail and positions the buckle more tightly, while a longer strap provides more room and tail.
Measurements exclude the buckle.

About the brand
Founded in 1952, Fluco is a third-generation family-owned strap maker based in Furth im Wald in Germany’s Bavarian Forest. The company produces leather and textile watch straps in-house in Germany, works with carefully selected tanneries, and pairs its straps with German-made buckles.
