Model 284 is the most purpose-built dive strap in the Bonetto lineup. It has a thick, assertive profile with a pronounced wave pattern and a perforated body designed for ventilation and secure adjustment under real use. The rounded tip features Bonetto’s Tsunami motif, a detail long associated with professional Seiko dive watches.

Material & feel
Model 284 is made from vulcanized nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), selected for its durability, flexibility, and resistance to seawater and sunlight. The vulcanization process strengthens the material while maintaining controlled flexibility, allowing the strap to bend without feeling soft or unstable.
Compared to slimmer Bonetto models, this strap feels noticeably more substantial. The thicker profile adds structure and weight, helping it balance larger cases while remaining comfortable during extended wear. The matte surface resists lint and dust more effectively than many silicone straps and maintains a clean, utilitarian appearance.

Care & wear
