How to Measure and Replace a ColaReb Watch Strap
Guide to Your Choice
To find the best ColaReb strap for your watch and wrist, it helps to understand the different lengths, sizes, and components available. Follow the steps below to measure accurately and replace your strap correctly.
Lug Width
To determine your watch’s lug width, use a metric ruler to measure the distance between the two lugs — the small projections where the strap attaches to the case.
Strap Length
For a comfortable fit, choose a strap length that matches your wrist size. Measure a previous strap that felt comfortable, or use a flexible tape measure to find your wrist circumference.
Buckle Size
All ColaReb straps include a stainless steel buckle — polished or satin-finished depending on the model — engraved with the ColaReb logo. If you prefer to reuse your existing buckle, compare its width to the size shown in the product description to ensure a proper fit.
Strap Thickness
Thin or flat watches pair best with thinner straps, while larger or more robust watches suit thicker straps. Choosing the right thickness ensures visual balance and comfortable wear.
Replacing the Strap
Most watch straps are attached to the lugs using spring bars. To remove your old strap and install a new one, follow these steps:
- Insert a spring bar tool between the strap and the case to locate the spring bar end.
- Gently push the end of the bar inward to release it from the hole in the case, then remove one side of the strap.
- Repeat on the opposite side to fully detach the strap.
Replacing the Buckle
To replace the buckle, use a spring bar tool just as you would for the strap. Place the tool between the buckle and the strap, then push the spring bar toward the center to release it.
Remove the spring bar completely and set it aside, then attach your new buckle using the same method.
