Large-scale alligator embossing and substantial thickness give the Hirsch Grand Duke a commanding stance on the wrist. In brown, it anchors gold cases, cream dials, and Roman numerals with clear visual weight, while brushed steel chronographs and larger sport cases gain structure and presence from its bold scale.

The strap is constructed from Italian calfskin with a lifelike alligator embossing that creates a defined, scaled grain across the surface. It is generously padded, giving it substantial structure and thickness in hand. The sides are folded, resulting in a smooth, continuous perimeter without exposed cut edges. The underside is lined with Hirsch Driving Glove leather, which is hypoallergenic and comfortable against the skin.

Padded leather straps wear with a fuller, more structured feel that gives the watch added presence on the wrist. The layered construction creates a rounded profile at the case while remaining smooth and comfortable against the skin.
The two-piece layout keeps the watch centered and supported, with the padding tapering away toward the buckle so the strap does not feel bulky once fastened. After settling, the strap maintains its shape and position, favoring a stable, refined fit over flexibility or drape.

Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning products, including leather cleaners. For heavier soiling, the strap may be briefly rinsed under running water. Avoid soaking or prolonged exposure to water. Dry with a soft cotton cloth or allow to air dry at room temperature. If the strap becomes damp from perspiration or heat, gently wipe with a dry, soft cloth.
