Model 285 is defined by its bold wave profile. The sculpted sections are larger and more pronounced than on other Bonetto wave straps, giving it a strong, graphic presence that reads unmistakably “dive watch” on the wrist. Round perforations run the length of the strap, adding ventilation without breaking up the overall silhouette.
This model favors visual impact over restraint. It’s a good choice when you want a classic dive-strap look with real presence. The double floating keepers help keep the excess strap controlled, reinforcing the planted, purposeful feel.
Made in Italy from vulcanized NBR rubber. Waterproof, UV-resistant, and nonallergenic.
Material & feel
Model 285 is made from vulcanized nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), selected for its durability, flexibility, and resistance to seawater and sunlight. The vulcanization process strengthens the material while maintaining controlled flexibility, allowing the strap to bend naturally without feeling soft or unstable.
Compared to slimmer Bonetto models, Model 285 has a firmer, more structured feel that supports its larger wave design. On the wrist, it feels stable and secure, with enough give to remain comfortable during extended wear. The matte surface resists lint and dust more effectively than many silicone straps and keeps the overall look clean and utilitarian.
Carries a light vanilla scent, typical of Italian-made vulcanized rubber.

Care & wear
Water exposure: Waterproof, designed for prolonged water exposure including swimming and diving.
For routine care, rinse with lukewarm water and mild soap as needed. Rinse thoroughly to remove residue. Avoid solvents, petroleum-based cleaners, and abrasive materials, as these can damage the rubber. Dry with a soft cloth and allow the strap to air dry completely before wearing.
