How to Measure for an Artem Nylon NATO Strap

Find Your Perfect Fit

Choosing the correct Artem nylon NATO strap comes down to two factors: width and length. These steps will help you measure watch strap size accurately to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.

Strap Width

On a wristwatch, lug width determines strap size. "Lug width" refers to the distance between the two projections that hold your strap in place, as shown.

Measure your lug width using a metric ruler or a caliper. The width must be in millimeters (not inches), and it must be a whole number (18mm, 19mm, 20mm, etc.). The strap size will match the lug width. If your lug width is 20mm, select a 20mm strap.

Similar to some OEM straps, Artem's nylon NATO straps are manufactured within a width tolerance. As a synthetic fabric, nylon straps are flexible by nature and require a tolerance of up to 1mm. For example, if you order Artem's 19mm–20mm size, the strap width could measure 19.2mm, 19.8mm, or anywhere between 19mm and 20mm. Any measurement within that range is considered acceptable and within tolerance. We cannot guarantee a specific width measurement when you place your order.

Strap Length

Artem's nylon NATO straps comfortably fit wrists measuring between 6-7½ inches.

To find your wrist size, use a flexible tape measure or a strip of paper to wrap your wrist where your watch would naturally sit. Mark the point where the two ends meet.

If using a paper strip, use a ruler to measure it (in inches). That number is your wrist size.
