Alex, the founder of British strapmaker Haveston, is fueled by a passion for horology and history. Throughout Haveston's varied and growing portfolio, its designs are defined by a focus on the honest utilitarian character of vintage military industrial equipment used by service personnel for aviation, space exploration, combat and other purposes.
Haveston's IVA collection is inspired by the original vintage space-flown straps used by astronauts to wrist-mount mission tools. The utilitarian construction lends itself to a variety of lunar, pilot and other tool watch styles. IVA makes a great dive strap!
The Lunar Grey IVA is based on the lunar regolith surface tone, as well as surviving examples of vintage faded mission-worn straps. It features a grey nylon exterior with black hook-and-loop lining and historical tribute issue markings.
Double layers along with a hook-and-loop configuration give the IVA a higher side profile than other Haveston straps. Full-length webbing lining provides uniform structure and support, while the high-grip rubber locking keeper ensures secure closure (spare also included). The one-piece configuration provides security in the event of spring bar failure, and the robust stainless steel bead-blasted hoop buckle makes this strap a highly secure mission tool.

The IVA Series wears with a supportive, uniform feel created by its full-length webbing structure. Despite the hook-and-loop closure, the strap maintains a controlled, secure presence on the wrist, with the buckle and locking keeper keeping the watch firmly positioned. The overall profile reads purposeful and technical, balancing flexibility with structure rather than feeling soft or loose.
The one-piece layout keeps the watch supported across a continuous length of material, while the double-layer construction gives the strap more body than lighter nylon options. Compared to standard fabric straps, it wears with slightly more presence at the sides while still sitting close to the wrist. Fit remains forgiving and adjustable, favoring security and stability over a minimal or ultra-flat profile.

Water resistant, suitable for brief exposure but not intended for swimming or prolonged contact with water.
Rinse with lukewarm water to remove dirt, sweat, and debris. Mild soap may be used if needed. After exposure to saltwater or chlorine, rinse with fresh water. Avoid heat, machine drying, or abrasive cleaning methods. Allow the strap to air dry completely at room temperature before wearing.
