Located in Germany's Bavarian Forest, Fluco manufactures 100% in-house at its headquarters in the town of Furth im Wald. Owner Ulrich Fleischmann represents the third generation of his family to lead the company that his grandfather founded more than 70 years ago, producing handmade watch straps of the highest quality for men and women.

Fluco carefully vets every partner they collaborate with. They work only with tanneries that produce ecologically and ethically responsible leather, complying with the strictest regulations to ensure environmental safety and exercising verifiable control from the origin of the raw material to the end product. Fluco's buckles are made entirely in Germany, at a traditional company in Baden Württemberg that tasks itself with producing premium clasps for watch straps.

Of the many tanneries in the world, only a few have earned a reputation for being the best. At the top of that short list is the Horween Leather Company, established in Chicago in 1905. Ulrich Fleischmann personally toured the Horween tannery and spent some time with Nick Horween himself, discussing all of the beautiful things that can be made from leather. Fleischmann was deeply impressed by the experience, and the two companies have now been partnering for years to produce beautiful watch straps from various types of Horween leather.

Handmade in Germany using vegetable-tanned cowhide leather from the Horween tannery, Fluco's Dublin strap is treated with the same traditional tanning extracts (characterized by a high proportion of oil) used on their Horween shell cordovan straps. Marks and tonal variations lend a vintage appeal to the leather (see photos), which will age naturally and beautifully over time. Due to the different ways the oils and waxes affect vegetable-tanned leather, each strap is slightly different in color and finish.

Some Fluco Horween shell cordovan straps are integrated with handy quick-release spring bars. Prefer standard spring bars? Quick-release bars are easy to remove: simply slide the lever as far as you can to the left, then gently bend back the strap corner until the bar emerges from the slot.

Looks beautiful but wish there was a longer strap

This was my first time ever swapping strap on my own, and it ended up being easier than I thought it would. I achieved the look I was going for with my Seiko, and the cognac color makes the blue dial pop. I would say I have above average wrists in terms of size (watch face is 42mm), and I would be able to pull off a longer strap, which isn't an option with Fluco. Also, there is none of the Fluco branding or made in Germany that is in the stock photo, which would be nice to know.

Oozes quality and coolness

This strap absolutely injected life into my Dan Henry chrono that was surprisingly difficult to find the perfect strap for. The leather is supple but not cheap feeling (unlike the stock strap that came with the watch). Feels and looks very premium. I appreciate the little things like the taper and the fact the keeper generally stays in place. Great strap, everything I was hoping for and then some. We'll see how it holds up over time but I would have no issue buying again as long as the craftsmanship doesn't fall apart egregiously (which I don't expect it will).

Classic racing style band

Great classic racing style watch band. Good quality leather strap, just the right color, and order shipped quickly. Perfect pairing with an Omega Speedmaster Date. Can't ask for much more at a reasonable price.

Comfortable and Stylish at the same time

This strap, at 3mm thick, quickly moulds to the wrist comfortably. With 8 adjustment holes in the strap it's possible to get perfect fit, regardless of where it is worn on the wrist. The brown leather and natural color stitching form a nice vintage look, especially when worn with a field watch.

Real nice strap made from Horween vegetable tanned pull up leather from Chicago… Very refined strap that has some character, love the cognac color, beautiful… Strap tapers from 20mm to 16mm at buckle and 2.5MM thick the entire length… Solid comfortable leather… Another great strap from Holben’s… Some photos included, including one with the strap alongside a Di-Modell Rallye that I also purchased right here at Holben’s, where you can’t beat the service, quality and fasssst shipping…! This strap is gorgeous!

This strap required no breaking in. It was soft and supple enough to wear right away comfortably. I love that it came in a short length so there is no excess strap visible at the top.

Great Quality Horween Strap

My only experience with Horween leather before this was the super shiny strap that came with my Nomos Tangente. This feels very different. It's got more of a matte finish and easily picks up a patina through regular wear. Feels much more rugged. Overall a great addition to my collection.
