Headquartered in Klagenfurt, Austria, Hirsch was established in 1765 as a leather workshop and tannery. It remains a family-owned business to this day, and continues to gain recognition for excellence and innovation in watch strap design.
Constructed from soft, velvety French nappa sheepskin leather, the Hirsch Merino is one of our most supple watch straps (no break-in period!). Hirsch's proprietary Oysterglove SuperSoft leather lining is hypoallergenic and comfortable against the skin.
All of our Hirsch straps are integrated with handy quick-release spring bars. Prefer standard spring bars? Quick-release bars are easy to remove: simply slide the lever as far as you can to the left, then gently bend back the strap corner until the bar emerges from the slot.
I ordered this watchband on a Wednesday and got it on Friday! Super fast and the strap looks amazing. Definitely would recommend!
Great band! Nice materials and shipped very fast. Hoping to get the same one in brown next. I am still waiting for my watch to be returned from service and I’m very much so looking forward to getting it back so I can put on the new watch band. As a vintage Wittnauer in silver this should be a perfect complement.
I picked up the 20mm version of this Hirsch Merino black sheepskin strap, as I wanted to stop wearing the black patent leather strap that came with my Seiko SARB065. This sheepskin leather strap is noticeably more supple than the Hirsch Kent calfskin leather strap that I have, and conformed to my wrist extremely well, right out of the packaging. It is also obviously far more comfortable than the original patent leather strap. The subtle texture of the sheepskin adds some visual interest, while still making it a suitable choice to wear with a black leather belt and shoes. The polished hardware matches the polished surfaces of the watch's case, the included quick-release spring bars made installation extremely easy, and everything fits as it should.
I recently purchased a new Hamilton watch with Hamilton leather strap. I really like the watch, but the strap was not a good fit for me as the buckle side was too short. I ordered a new Hirsch Merino Nappa Black Sheepskin Leather Watch Strap from Holben's, and I couldn't be happier. The strap works perfectly and fits like it was made for this watch.
Dear friends gave me an expensive Seiko in 1978 when I was accepted into medical school. This strap looks and feels great on my wrist as I care for patients with this watch in now the twilight of my career.
The leather band seems to be high quality and it looks and feels amazing. Took out one star as it is does feel a little flimsy and I doubt it will last for many years with daily wear. I'd prefer if the leather was thicker but for someone looking at a light option this is fantastic.
Very pleased with my purchase. I wanted a strap that felt like it’s already broken in, and this is it. My first experience with the built in spring bars and I don’t think I can do without them now, especially on a watch I like to change the look of once in awhile. Recommend both this product and the seller.
The leather is very soft and supple and works with a variety of different watches. My only criticism is that the strap is too long and would like to see an option for short or medium as well.
I put this on a Orient Symphony watch with a white/silver dial. Almost the exact same color leather but much higher quality than the original. Highly recommended.
The perfect watchband from the perfect shop. Will never order from any other shop ever. Thank you!
