Located in Germany's Bavarian Forest, Fluco manufactures 100% in-house at its headquarters in the town of Furth im Wald. Owner Ulrich Fleischmann represents the third generation of his family to lead the company that his grandfather founded more than 70 years ago, producing handmade watch straps of the highest quality for men and women.

Fluco carefully vets every partner they collaborate with. They work only with tanneries that produce ecologically and ethically responsible leather, complying with the strictest regulations to ensure environmental safety and exercising verifiable control from the origin of the raw material to the end product. Fluco's buckles are made entirely in Germany, at a traditional company in Baden Württemberg that tasks itself with producing premium clasps for watch straps.

Nubuck leather is full-grain sanded on the front of the skin to achieve a velvety, water-repellent surface, supple feel and high breathability. Using fine cowhide leather from Italy, Fluco's Mountain Bear strap is handmade in Germany according to this method. Tone-on-tone stitching seams are double-sewn at the ends and buckle. The edges of each strap are painted, sanded and polished several times by hand. Lining leather from France is water repellent and hypoallergenic. A glass fiber reinforcement inside the strap prevents tearing and shrinking.

Perfect band, but the buckle doesn’t close properly

I love the strap and it fits perfectly, but I ended up having to swap out the OEM buckle because the buckle didn’t fit correctly. The buckle pin is too short to safely secure it and I feel like the watch is at risk of falling off with the wrong move.

Overall 10/10 without this one issue.

Insane quality

The quality of this suede strap is excellent. I recommend it for dress watches with a diameter of less than 40mm and a thickness of less than 13mm. Since the leather isn't very thick, it might not provide the best comfort for field or sports watches. The gold buckle option fits well with my gold-plated watch.

Great strap, but beware light colors however

The whiskey colored strap looks great but… since it’s nubuck it gets dirty and is very sensitive to oil. This can look good on the right watch, but not sure it works with the silver dial Omega Constellation .

The strap itself is very well made. I’d go darker if I’d get this again.

Protip: if you have 7.5” wrists this might be a bit small (it works but on the second hole). But you can upgrade to Fluco deployment clasp (sold here separately) which will give you some extra room.

Another subtle, handsome Fluco

Bought this one to replace the stock-but-worn-out croc strap on my new-to-me Longines. The strap is flexible enough on the ends to accommodate curved springbars, which is what I had to use on this case. The color and texture of the leather is about perfect. My only gripe is that I wish the holes were punched a bit further down the tail; I'm usually on the last hole, but this is a pretty small-cased watch, to be fair. Otherwise, can't go wrong with these Fluco straps!

Just what I was looking for. A truly beautiful watchband. Accented my vintage 6694 perfectly. Highly recommended.
