Watch a JustBlueFish video review of the Fluco Horween shell cordovan watch strap:
Excellent quality Cordovan strap at a good price. Comfortable on the wrist. I'll be ordering more.
Overall these are very comfortable and look great but I ran into some issues with the edge coating. I ordered the black, whiskey and dark brown straps and the edge coating is kind of tacky on all of them but was worse on the dark brown. It would stick to my finger if it touched it and would peel off. I left it out on a shelf for a couple of days to see if it would dry out but that was unsuccessful. The black strap was a little sticky at first but now it’s flaking off. The whiskey seems ok for now. I don’t know if it’s from the humidity where I live or if the straps have been sitting around for a while or what. It’s not a huge deal because I had some brown and black “Edge Kote” and mixed them together to get the right color and redid the edge on the brown one and looks like I’ll need to do the black one too. Anyways that’s my experience, other than that they seem like good straps. The photo of the black strap shows an are that has flaked off, the photo of the brown one is after I redid the edge.
Great value! I have two Nomos and a number of their straps. Looks so much like the Nomos straps that I wonder if Fluco is Nomos’ supplier for Horween Shell Cordovan straps.
This is an excellent strap at an excellent price. I love that they offer a short version. I bought one in 20mm and one in 18mm. Highly recommend
This is one of the nicest leather straps I’ve used. I purchased the short 18mm and it’s a great fit for my Seiko Laurel Alpinist. It’s a dark brown color. The buckle is rather plain, but is easily removed, so I replaced it with the one that came with my watch. Overall - definitely worth the price! Thanks Holbens!
