Focusing on fine detail and handmade craftsmanship at reasonable prices, deBeer has supplied leather straps for both men and women to high-end retailers for more than thirty years. Their leather straps undergo sixty separate manufacturing stages, and include quality finishing details such as folded and stitched keepers and reinforced stitching behind the buckle. DeBeer's buckles are made in Germany from premium stainless steel, and their nubuck leather lining is engineered to be water- and perspiration-resistant.
I've bought several DeBeer straps for my vintage watch collection. This one works great with my early '60s Elgin "Thin-Thin" watch, a watch with an automatic movement that is only 8.8mm thick, so it needs a thin, but sturdy, strap.
I purchased the DeBeer Lizard-Grain Havana leather watch strap for my 1948 Gruen Veri-Thin watch. It looks like a perfect match in both size and quality. I couldn't be more pleased. I recommend Holben's as a place to shop for strap replacement. The shipment was fast and the owner, Mike, was quick to answer my questions via email.
I purchased the DeBeer Lizard-Grain Blue Leather Watch Strap for a small Shinola Muldowney. I found this band to be a very good value. The lizard pattern looks nice, the blue is rich and the band in general seems well made. I have only had the band for a few weeks and have worn the watch about a dozen times but I am quite happy with it.
I bought this lovely little red lizard band for a mid 60s Waltham that I had with a very ordinary black band and a red second hand. I realized I had too many old watches on black straps! So I was looking to make some color pop. I did! What a deal.
I bought this for a 1954 Elgin watch I recently acquired. The lizard grain looks elegant and befitting for such a nice, gold watch. This isn't the first Debeer watchband I've bought from Holbens. The quality is excellent, especially for the price. The availability of odd sizes (this one is 17mm) is especially great for vintage watches. I won't hesitate to buy more.
Perfect strap style for my quartz Seiko tank. Very nice quality, look & feel for the price. A bit stiff at first, so some break-in is required.
I was hoping to add a fun complimentary color to this gold-plated Omega and this DeBeer blue lizard grain did the trick. It's very comfortable, is a perfect 18mm fit on the watch, and it came with a very attractive gold clasp, but I had the original Omega clasp so I swapped it out. Not too thin, not too thick, just right.
I have a Cartier watch and found a strap through Amazon. Although all reviews pointed to an outstanding strap, I disliked it a great deal. It was too thick, it hurt my wrist, and it was not sophisticated enough for a Cartier watch. Luckily, this strap was sophisticated and did not break the bank. I absolutely live it! Thank you to whoever posted the picture of the strap on a Cartier. Very helpful...
This is my second time buying the lizard grain deBeer strap. This time, I went with the blue 19mm with a gold buckle. The craftsmanship is top notch and the thickness and taper is perfect. Holben’s is the best place to buy watch straps on the internet, period.
The material used is of great quality and feels very comfortable on my wrist. The color of the strap complements my gold tone vintage timepiece beautifully, adding a touch of class to the overall look. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this watch strap to anyone in search of a stylish strap for the gold tone watch.
