Located in Germany's Bavarian Forest, Fluco manufactures 100% in-house at its headquarters in the town of Furth im Wald. Owner Ulrich Fleischmann represents the third generation of his family to lead the company that his grandfather founded more than 70 years ago, producing handmade watch straps of the highest quality for men and women.

Fluco carefully vets every partner they collaborate with. They work only with tanneries that produce ecologically and ethically responsible leather, complying with the strictest regulations to ensure environmental safety and exercising verifiable control from the origin of the raw material to the end product. Fluco's buckles are made entirely in Germany, at a traditional company in Baden Württemberg that tasks itself with producing premium clasps for watch straps.

Fluco's soft, comfortable Finest Single strap is handmade in Germany using leather from the Perlinger tannery. Perlinger, a neighbor of Fluco in Furth im Wald, has been owned by the same family for almost 150 years. Handcrafted calf leather of the finest quality has been Perlinger’s trademark over five generations. Centuries ago, the family's ancestors developed a secret process of allowing leather to shrink naturally, creating an unusual leather structure with a pronounced, but fine, grain. Today Perlinger's leather has gained worldwide fame for its use in luxury leather goods such as the Hermès Birkin handbag, but unfortunately, poor (embossed) imitations of Perlinger leather abound. Fluco is one of the few watch strap suppliers who still use authentic, naturally shrunken Perlinger leather.

This is a one-piece strap with two polished stainless steel keeper rings. The white contrast stitching is created with a fine quilting machine seam all around the strap; the bar tacks on the clasp are double stitched. The ring and buckle pockets are sewn into place and double-stitched at the edges. The lining leather is water repellent and hypoallergenic. A glass fiber reinforcement is layered inside the strap to prevent tearing and shrinking.

Holben's accepts returns of unworn, undamaged watch straps or accessories for refund or exchange within thirty days of purchase. (To ensure that items remain in original condition, please confirm suitability before fastening to your watch or wrist.)

All product packaging (bags, tags, cases, etc.) must be unaltered and returned with each item. Items without original packaging will be refused. Items that have been worn, resized, damaged or otherwise modified (including exposure to cologne, tobacco smoke, household air fresheners or other odors) will not be accepted.

Orders must be packed in a padded envelope or small box, and shipped via USPS with delivery confirmation. (Couriers such as DHL and UPS will not deliver to PO boxes.)

Grey is great too!

Bought this strap in brown and grey so comments in my review of the brown also apply equally to the grey, which is a really nice neutral shade, but difficult to capture the true color in photos. The only thing I’d change about these straps is the hardware; bead-blasted or at least brushed instead of polished would make them more versatile, but as with the brown, I’ll still be ordering another when the grey is back in stock.

Excellent leather single-pass strap

Just right - nice shade of brown that’s not too dark / not too light. Thickness is also perfect for most field or pilot style watches; easily but securely slips through the lugs of several of my Hamilton 38mm & 40mm models. Liked it so much in fact that I ordered another for back-up…just in case. Thanks to Holben’s as always for great selection, value and customer service.

Everything you would want in a 1 piece strap.

Leather is soft and relatively thin, as you would expect on a 1 piece strap. I bought it to go with a recently acquired 1970s era Citizen Eagle 7. The Fluco strap really brings new life to the old Citizen.

Soft, supple, and oh so stylish

This is one of several Fluco straps I have purchased from Holben’s, and just like the others the quality is top notch. Unlike some other leather nato straps I’ve tried, this one is thin enough that it does not add excessive bulk between the watch and my wrist. This is a versatile strap in a color that works with many different colors and styles of watch. You won’t be disappointed.
