I'm very pleased with my new band. I had originally ordered through Amazon the Tobacco and Brown color variants, but in the wrong size. I came here to order the 22m lug width in Whisky color because there was no light brown/tan 22mm offering on Amazon. The Tobacco listing on Amazon and Whisky listing on Holben's use the same image so I figured it would be a similar color. It turns out the Whisky color is in between the Tobacco and Brown. It's probably the color you would visualize when you think a brown band that's not too dark or too light. Tobacco is a light tan and brown is like a dark chocolate. It's very dark. I ended up scratching the band with my finger nails to add texture, make it look more worn in, and ever so faintly lighten it up. The picture with the white background is before scratches (bathroom with white light). The others are after scratches (in direct sunlight).
I own a Citizen Avion and I wasn't impressed with the stock leather band that came with the watch so I decided to order this! This watch band looks absolutely amazing! It's a perfect match for this watch!
Only two downsides are: as others have mentioned it does have a weird seaweed smell to it! I'm sure it will wear off, but that is something you have to deal with from the get go! Also I have about a 3 3/4" wrist and the watch band fits perfectly on the very last hole (I lucked out)! I would say that if your wrists are smaller than this you need to either find a shorter watch band or you'll have to punch your own hole!
It gives your watch a nice vintage look, in my case this strap made my watch a bit more casual
Exceeded my expectations -very nice quality and workmanship -great length ( many straps are marginal for my 7.5” wrist. Would have liked to see a lined back and a tapering of the thickness but, really could not expect at a his price point!
This is a very easy review to write. I have Fluco straps from Holben's on four watches. From left to right - Late 1960's Rolex Datejust, 1964 Bulova Accutron I inherited from my father, 1968 Bulova Accutron my parents gave to me for my college graduation, and my 1970's Helbros Mickey Mouse watch. I bought he first Fluco strap to see if I liked Flucos. The other three followed shortly. The leather is great, the workmanship excellent, the appearance very pleasing, and the comfort superb. Plus, Holben's delivery is timely. The Accutrons have been completely serviced by Rob Berkavicius in Bangkok, Thailand and get lots of wrist time. I frequently wear all of these on their Fluco bands. Based on my experience, I highly recommend both Fluco straps and Holben's.
