Inspired by the classic Marine Nationale watch strap (originally invented by French naval divers to pair with their military-issued Tudor MN watches) and widely regarded as one of the most comfortable all-season straps on the market today, Erika's Originals MN straps are expertly handcrafted by Erika and her team of skilled artisans in Valencia, Spain.

Each strap starts with superior European spandex elastic nylon, dyed to perfection in Switzerland for ultimate comfort and moisture regulation, and featuring a rounded-edge, non-fraying endless weave elastic (two perfect sides!). Woven to the highest specification using traditional techniques on state-of-the-art looms, this durable material maintains its perfect structure while supporting even the beefiest watches. Lines are 100% hand stitched using premium European yarns. Easily microadjust for a customized fit with the integrated sliding clasp. The 316 stainless steel buckle is water resistant in both ocean and pool, and for added peace of mind, all Erika's Originals MN straps are hypoallergenic and latex-free.

Erika's Originals MN Watch Straps: How and Where They're Made

Q: Do you sell watch bands for women?
A: We do! Many of our short-length straps are the perfect size for women.

Q: Can you suggest a strap that looks amazing with my watch?
A: Unfortunately, because the range is so vast (and personal taste is subjective), we cannot advise regarding aesthetic suitability for specific models and styles of watches.

Q: I have an Apple watch. Will any of your straps work for me?
A: Sure! Our handy Apple watch band adapters accommodate most 22mm straps.

Q: Are spring bars available?
A: Yes, for each strap that is not already integrated with quick-release spring bars, we include one free pair of strong, seamless double-flange stainless steel bars.

Q: What strap size do I need?
A: To determine your size, use a metric ruler to measure the internal distance (in millimeters) between the lugs of your watch.

Q: My Bonetto Cinturini deployant strap is too long. Can you help?
A: Of course! See our Bonetto Cinturini sizing guide for cutting instructions.

Q: Do you offer international shipping?
A: Yes! Visit our Shipping & Returns page for more information.

My favourite hard use strap

I have two of Erica’s amazing straps. Shown in the photo is one on a Marathon 41mm TSAR. The other supports a Citizen Eco Drive Promaster. I have a smaller wrist and the straps keep these larger watches where they ought to be. They seem very durable and I find them more comfortable than rubber, leather or metal bracelets. Highly recommended!!

Comfortable high quality strap

I’m a fan of Marine Nationale straps and have gotten them from a few different brands. Erika’s are definitely the best quality of all of them. The webbing feels thicker and stronger, and the hardware is superior. It does cost a lot more, but with most things in life, cost goes up exponentially with true quality. If you want the best MN strap, this is it.

Erika's Original on a Seiko King Turtle

I decided to try a 22mm Mirage grey with royal blue stripe on my one year old "save the ocean" Seiko King Turtle. This watch has a faded blue dial with manta rays that went well with this color combo. These straps are a unique design with a continuous loop that ensures you will be less likely to drop your watch when putting it on or off. Hooking the simple clasp is a little fiddley but using the nail on your index finger works pretty well. I like that the strap does not rely on any buckle spring bar or thin buckle tang and the sliding adjuster stays put. It is important to know that although my wrist is around 7", my hand is pretty good size so the stiff elastic of the strap will need to be stretched over your hand to get it on and off. I have mine adjusted so the elastic is fully relaxed with a small amount of play to give me a comfortable fit. The stiff but smooth texture combined with the strong elastic provide the perfect stability for the 45mm Seiko. You will want to make sure your watch has stout spring bars because they get stressed when putting your watch on or off. Fortunately Seiko divers come with 2.5mm diameter bars. Time will tell how the strength of the elastic remains or weakens or how the color and weave of the strap holds up, but so far so good. After swimming in a pool, it dried pretty quickly with no ill effects.

Pricey but very comfortable

Erika's straps came recommended from a friend and I can certainly see why people like them. The seamless adjustment and comfortable material make for a very nice fit. The shear endless options of colors and details offer the perfect combo for any watch.

I especially appreciate that there's no loose leftover band like you find on a regular NATO. Whether all that is worth almost $100 to you - well only you can decide that. I'll ding it one point for price as I'm not yet convinced that it's worth 3x the price of a regular NATO.

Just what I wanted!

I’ve got several MN style straps and this is my favorite. It looks nice and is comfortable and isn’t going to fall off.
