Watch an Urban Gentry video review of ColaReb's grey Venezia leather strap on a Breitling Navitimer:
Beautiful watch strap which looks just like the photos and feels great too. I always come back to these Colareb straps for certain vintage watches in my stable, you just can’t go wrong with them!
Forgot how a new strap can change a watch - the Venezia green leather sings with the titanium Duratect coating on my Citizen Promaster Tough and pulls out the pale green of the lume in a way the original strap didn’t. The sturdy leather is thick enough to make sense with the scale of the watch. Developing a beautiful patina, this definitely adds a dash of sprezzatura to my day.
It's only my second strap, but is so much more sturdy and substantial than my other non-Seiko strap! The leather is so soft and supple, and goes really well with the black and white dial. And the fit between the lugs and near the case is really nice. No gaps between anything! Truly can't complain!!
I bought the ColaReb Venezia for my Sinn 104. The original brown leather Sinn strap was nice but I wear a lot of black and wanted a black strap to complement the dial. And a bonus was the strap's gray contrast stitching works well with the matte case of my 104. Speaking of matte, I swapped the shiny ColaReb OEM buckle with the buckle from the Sinn strap. This is a dress up/dress down kind of watch strap. It can look sporty as well as dressy (although not exceptionally so either way). The Venezia, albeit a bit thick, was supple and comfortable on first wearing. I have a 7.75" wrist so I got the long size but I think I actually could have used the standard size. And, as always, great communication and service from Holben's.
I ordered this band (the 20mm long version) for my Google Pixel watch after discovering their normal bands are all too small for my 8-1/4" wrist. I thought it might be a good idea to go out of my way to try and get a nicer band with people and brands backing their products. I know where its from, what its made of, and (generally) are backed by a face with standards. However, right now I'm not feeling the love or quality I expected for this high of a price. The leather looks pretty nice, the stitching and everything looks to be on point, and it fit perfectly in the 20mm lugs that come with the official Google leather watch band. But.... That's about all of the positives I have to say... Now let me tell you why I'm not going to be using this band anymore after only about a month of use. As other reviews have mentioned, the free hoop is a piece of junk. Its too big for the tail end of the band, its really thin and rubbery, and it appears to be held together by a single, albeit thick, stitch. Pretty it would be the first thing to wear out on this band. Second, the tail end of this band feels like its wearing out pretty quickly as well. The tip of the non-buckle end feels like its de-laminating and its already stained blackish with dirt. Finally, the real reason I'm done, I woke up with a nasty rash under the watch band a couple of days ago. I had to go to my doc and get some medicated cream to stop the burning, turns out its some kinda of eczema that flared up because of this band. I have always had sensitive skin but the listing says its hypoallergenic, so, I felt it wouldn't be a problem. Nope! I'm pretty sure its something in the leather as the worst of the rash was no where near the buckle. Also, none of the rash happened under the watch, it was entirely under the band. If you have sensitive skin, eczema, etc, choose something else. If this thing is hypoallergenic then my name is Sally..... And its not.... Considering I spent $50, I'm pretty disappointed.
